Staff Accountant

Essential Functions:

  • Coordinate accounts functions such as balance sheet and bank reconciliations, trend analysis for all assigned accounts, journal entries, general ledger system, and subsystem interfacing
  • Prepare CER's for P.O. processing
  • Process capital purchase orders in SAP
  • Acquire appropriate information for vendor set up in SAP
  • Follow up on goods receipt
  • Facilitate prepayment checks when required by vendor
  • Manage payment process/draw for projects in SAP
  • Assist in reconciling price discrepancies with vendors and accounts payable
  • Act as a resource to the facilities in obtaining information or following up on outstanding orders
  • Generate necessary reports and participates in related monthly accounting activities to ensure timely ledger close
  • Research information requests and responds to issues involving specific general ledger accounts
  • Monitor compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and company procedures
  • Performs other tasks as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education/Learning Experience

  • Required:  Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
  • Desired:  Advanced degree in Accounting


Work Experience

  • Desired: 0-1 years accounting experience



  • Required: Understanding of GAAP and General Accounting; excellent computer skills including Excel, Word, Access, and related accounting software; financial reporting knowledge; internal and external audit requirements knowledge
  • Desired: Understanding of SAP


  • Desired: CPA or CPA eligible
